City Facilities:

The City of Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory will remain closed to the public until further notice. All regularly scheduled programming will be canceled during this period and there will be no public access to the facility.

The Rancho Mirage City Hall is closed to the public until further notice (except Council Chambers for scheduled council and commission meetings). Please call or email if assistance is needed. City staff will be working and responding to phone calls and emails during normal business hours.

For information on how to participate in a City Council or Planning Commission meeting remotely, please contact the City Clerk at (760) 324-4511, Ext. 488, or via email to, by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting (requests received after 10:00 a.m. on meeting day may not be processed). Written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk via email to, or mailed to 69-825 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA  92270 (written comments received after the meeting starts will be provided to the City Council following the meeting and be made part of the public record).

Parks & Trails: 

  • Rancho Mirage Dog Park located at 34100 Key Largo Ave is open to the public.
  • Rancho Mirage Community Park located at 71560 San Jacinto Drive park, pickleball, and tennis courts are open to the public.

All other parks and city trails remain open. Please visit the City’s website at  for more park information.

City Events:

All Library, Observatory, and City events have been canceled until further notice. Any event that required paid admission, will be issuing a full refund and those patrons have been contacted directly about their refund.

City Businesses:

Essential services may remain, examples are:

  • Gas stations
  • Pharmacies
  • Food: Grocery stores, farmers markets, food banks, convenience stores, take-out and delivery restaurants
  • Banks
  • Laundromats/laundry services

If you are not one of the critical infrastructure sectors, you are required to cease operations immediately and do your part to stop the spread of this disease.
